Pastor Pum Khan Suan

Pastor Pum Khan Suan was born on the month of August 19, 1984 Sunday at Sawbuayeshin village, Kalay Township, Sagaing Division. He is the eldest son of Pastor Gin Do Pau, a retired ordain pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Mrs. Don Lian Ciin. He is the third eldest of eight siblings, including Ms. Dim Lam Hau, Vung Suan Lian, Khup Za Tuang, Cing Sian Zo, Khup Sawm Piang, Tun Biak Khai, and Za Sian Mung.

He began his student life from KG – Grade 7 at Sawbua Adventist School. He continued Grade 8 at UMAS. He continued Grade 9 – 10 at KAS (Kalay Adventist Seminary). He continued Plus 1 at UMAS, and Plus 2 at MUAS. He studied B.Th first year at MMCC (Maranatha Magnelius Christian College) at Kalay. He studied BBA fist year (Bachelor of Business Administration) at MUAS (Myanmar Union Adventist College or Seminary). In 2006 summer, he went to Bangalore, India to continue his study. He studied B.Th first year at the school of Berean Baptist Biblical College, Richmond Town, Bangalore, Karnataka, India in the school academic year of 2006. In the school academic year of 2007, he moved to Spicer Memorial College, Aundh, Pune, Maharashtra, India. He studied B.Th first year again and the month of March 2011, he graduated his B.Th. He studied his M.Th at the Emmaus College, Yangon, Myanmar as DLC course, in 2014 he graduated. Then the UMM EC chose him to continue his education for studying the field of Master in Ministry (MA. Min). He started studying from the year of 2016 – 2019 at Asia Pacific Internation University courses offered by AIIAS, Manila, Philippines. 

After he graduated B.Th from Spicer Memorial College, Pune, India, he came back Myanmar. He married Mrs. Nuam Khat Nem on May 25, 2011, and they have three children: a daughter Ciin Yah Len (January 21, 2013, two sons Pau Sian Tawi Sang (June 22, 2014, and Pau Thawn Kim (October 20, 2017). Pr. Pum Khan Suan is deeply committed to his family and ministry, making significant contributions to his community through education and leadership.

He began his ministry as school teacher at UMAS (The Upper Myanmar Adventist School) in the school academic year of 2011. The school academic year of 2012, he worked as a school teacher for the Genius English Medium School at Hinjewadi, Pune, India. Later, he came back from India to serve as a teacher and dean of boys at UMAS (Upper Myanmar Adventist School) in Gyothonpin as well as the church pastor of Khaikam Adventist Church in Chin State. In 2016, the UMM Session appointed him to move to Mogoke to continue his pastoral work and he worked for three and half years. Then, he received a call from Myanmar Union Adventist College or Seminary. He served as a college’s Religion Department lecturer for two and half years. In the year of 2021 the Upper Myanmar Mission Session, he was appointed for the Publishing Department, Spirit of Prophecy Department, Communication Department and PARL Department Director of UMM (Upper Myanmar Mission). He was elected and given an honor for a Pastor ordination license in the month of August, 2023. He is appointed for the position of UMM Director from the year of January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2025.
