The LEADLAB 2.2 is designed for the South East Union Mission (SEUM) and the Myanmar Union Mission (MYUM), initiated by the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD). This Leadlab is led by Pastor Stephen Salainti, the Vice President for Leadlab in the SSD, with support from Pastor Felixian Felicita, the field secretary, and Pastor Segundino Asoy, who is the director of Sabbath School, Personal Ministry, and ASI in the SSD. The SEUM is the host union, and the meetings are held in the conference room at the Thailand Adventist Mission Headquarters.
The program runs from March 11 to March 13, 2025, with participation from pastors, departmental directors, and mission presidents from both SEUM and MYUM. A total of 32 delegates are attending this leadership course. LEADLAB stands for Leadership Education and Development, a program initiated by the Global Leadership Institute (GLI) at Andrews University, designed specifically for leaders within the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The goal of the program is to cultivate leaders who are deeply connected to the church's mission and values, blending spiritual heritage with practical leadership strategies. This program was adopted by the SSD during the SSD Leadership Summit held in Bangkok, Thailand, from March 8 to 11, 2023.
The Myanmar Union Mission is represented by four delegates: Pastor Tient Saung (MYUM), Pastor A One Thein (YAM), Pastor Day Htoo Sein (SEM), and Thang Kang Lo (UMM). The program empowers all participating leaders from SEUM and MYUM by focusing on spiritual leadership growth and biblical principles that align with church values. It also encourages connections among leaders from different countries and promotes hands-on learning to apply leadership skills in real-world church administration within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
This leadlab is not merely a seminar; it is a comprehensive course. The participants will meet online via Zoom to continue their leadership training for eight months, culminating in a celebration and graduation ceremony. Upon completion, Andrews University will award them a diploma in leadership.
